Gel II Tequila Sunrise with foil!

Hey loves!

Today I want to show you the last set I did for my girl Lyne. What I love about our sessions (besides the constant girl talk) is that Lyne is super adventurous when it comes to her nails and she's always encouraging me to be creative with my designs!  With that said we often find ourselves struggling to settle on one look.

I'd finally gotten around to purchasing some foil and wanted to test the product out on someone who could give me some feedback on how it wears. Lyne was perfect for the job, she's a sucker for colour changing polish and was more than happy to give foil a try.

The base is Gel Two's Tequila Sunset which turns light pink when warm and a juicy red when cold. The red and gold foil couldn't be more eye catching. I can't seem decide which look I prefer! Pink or red?!?

Wet N Wild Private Viewing

Hey loves!

I really want to do my best at keeping this blog running but I'm just warning you guys that the next few posts might be on the short side. This one is a palate cleanser. Sometimes a girl just wants to rock a nice nude polish. My baby sis Mims turned me on to this shade called Private Viewing. This one is a creamy beige that goes on flawlessly. Since it's a little on the sheer side I had to do three coats to get this opaque but it was soooo worth it.

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from all the summer neons!

IBD Mango Mischief

Hey loves!

Okay so here's a quick run down of what's going on with me: your girl got laid off. Again. LOL I'm keeping my spirits up and I've been very busy working on nails taking clients at home and at a salon in town. I have amazing clients who have been encouraging me, checking up on me and making sure I'm okay so I'm just going with the flow right now.

Sandra is one of those amazing clients. This gem of a woman found me on Instagram and booked an appointment a few weeks ago. She admitted to me that she never does her nails but I'll be putting a stop to that! She settled for an orangy-red shade called Mango Mischief by IBD. I then added a simple leopard print on the accent fingers.

She was happy with the results but I later found out that though her hubby liked the change, he wants her to try something bolder next time. I am totally up for the challenge! See you soon Sandra!

Gelish Tiki Tiki Laranga for Veronica!

Hey loves,

Here's part two of my session with Lory and her sis Veronica!
So after some playful bickering about which design she should go for Veronica settled on a sugar skull for the middle fingers. Tiki Tiki is a true neon orange. Talk about bright!!!

Love this! Urgh!

Oh snap! Your girl is baaaack!!!! lol

Hey loves!!!

It has been waaaaaaayyyyy too long. My laptop died on me and I've been so busy doing nails for other people, singing and taking care of my kids that I had to take a break. I should have things back to normal within a week or two so bear with me. Thank you to everyone who still stops by hoping I'll have a new post up lol.

I wanna show you some nails I worked on today, super simple but I really love the way these turned out. Lory and I used to work together a few years ago and we've been able to keep in touch thanks to Facebook so when she told me that she and her sister Veronica wanted to get pampered I had to say yes. Lovely clients with lovely nails, what more could I ask for?

Lory opted for a creamy neon orange by Gel II called Lightening Orange. She kept it simple with a tribal design. I think this looks so great with her complexion. It really pops!

If you're in the Montreal area feel free to hit me up to book your appointment! I can be reached via email at vamica.bony@hotmail.com

Nicole By OPI Basking In Gloria

Hey loves,

I'm still sick and not really feeling well enough to go through the whole nail painting/picture taking process right. With that said I still have some swatches to hold you guys over while I rest up this week. I'm hoping to be feeling better by the weekend so I can work on some nail art for you guys. I've got some fun ideas in mind...

The polish of the day is Nicole By OPI's Basking In Gloria. Felt like I hadn't worn or blogged about red nail polish in a while so this beauty satisfied my craving.

Color Club Alias

Hey loves!

This blog has been getting a whole lot more traffic these past few months so I gotta give a shout out and say thank you to all the readers old and new, you guys keep me motivated.

I hope I'll be able to keep things on track with the blog this week because I am feeling a little worn out. I worked a show over the weekend so I didn't get much sleep and I'm fighting a bad ass cold but have no fear your daily dose of polish is here!

This one is a simple swatch. Two coats of Color Club's Alias over one coat of Essie's Licorice. The color shifting qualities of this polish make me giddy. This polish doesn't need any nail art its a stunner all on its own.
