Rihanna Diamond nails feat Gelish & Double XL

Hi guys!

I still have some pictures saved in the vault so today I want to show you a set I worked on for Ms Double XL. Working on Sarah is always loads of fun and this time was no exception. She came to me a few days before New Year's asking for Gelish and "diamonds". The girl sang along to Rihanna's Diamonds track the whole frickin' time. The same damn line. Over and over. "Shine bright like a diiiiiiiiaaaaammmmoooooonnnndddddd!" Needless to say I couldn't get the song out of my head for the rest of the night.

I managed to finish the manicure and it's hawt. What you see below is Black Shadow with Twinkle on the tips and Allure on the ring fingers which were also topped off with Twinkle. Can't forget the diiiiiiiamonds!

Let freedom ring! feat Essie's Pink Diamond

Hola my loves!

There are certain things about my private life that I don't talk about on my blog but it looks like the storm has passed so I'm feeling a little better about opening up. Last Saturday marked one year since I broke up with my children's father. I was a wreck last year but your girl is back so what did I decide to do on that same day one year later? CELEBRATE! I've got my health, my kids are happy and healthy, I love them and they love me. Sounds like I've got plenty to celebrate! It's a major shock when you find yourself starting over after being with someone for so many years but if you guys knew what I went through last year then you'd know that I've got nowhere to go but up honey!

With that said I left my babies with their aunties and took my happy ass to the casino for dinner and gambling with my girls. What a night! We had security going all kinds of crazy (still LMAO!).

I kept things simple, girly and sparkly with Essie's Pink Diamond as a base and one coat of Essie's A Cut Above for some shine.

Spotlight on MTL feat Ryan Stevenson and OPI

Hey loves!

Today I'm doing something a little different. I live in the great city of Montreal and it is so full of talented artists that I thought it would be fun to put together a few posts introducing you to some of these pretty awesome people.

Do you know Ryan Stevenson? It not, let me show you:

Okay so now that I've got your full attention! Ryan is a kick ass drummer. As some of you may already know, I'm a vocalist and so I got to meet Ryan while I worked for MTL rapper Imposs about 2 years ago. We've worked on more gigs since and even opened for Wyclef Jean together. Ryan is no joke! The man has played for artists such as P. Diddy, Wyclef Jean, French Montana, Ace Hood, T-Pain and more. Don't let that short list fool you; the man plays to any genre. Find out more about Ryan here:

The return of hurricane Sandy feat Essie Aruba Blue

Happy Friday good people!

I cannot wait to kick my feet up and relax... I've been feeling a little fried this week so I'm going to try to be good to myself and rest up... a little. As much as the 9 to 5 can be draining, painting nails brings me back to life!

Sandy's back from vacation and wanted to get her nails done by yours truly. The girl had fallen in love with this sapphire blue and just had to have it on her nails. So after giving her a UV gel overlay I painted on two coats of Essie's Aruba Blue. We added some glitter to her ring fingers using Essie's Set In Stones. I love this glitter it gives great coverage and it's not thick or goopy.

Definitely an eye-catcher!

Reconnecting! feat. Gelish If Tomorrow Never Comes

Hey Loves!

2012 was one hell of a year for me... I had kinda lost touch for a moment but now that I feel better it's all about reconnecting! I don't have a lot of girlfriends but the ones I do have I wouldn't trade even for a pile of polish. We have wine, we laugh, we cry and occasionally sing along to Beyoncé *giggles* All while painting our nails of course! There were no sing-a longs at our last get together but we did break out the Gelish for my girl Fabienne. This was during the holidays and so Fabs opted for a festive shade of red called If Tomorrow Never Comes. There's just something so sexy about red claws... Throw some animal print in the mix and IT'S A WRAP!

Don't hurt 'em too bad Fabs...

Big thanks to Ms Double XL for the pictures xox

Rock Star Nails feat Essie Mod Square

Hey guys! Looks like my baby sis' love of skulls has rubs off on me! That little skull image is so darn cute I just had to create another manicure with it. This is another gradient (I just looove those!) but this time I used Essie's Mod Square and SH Lively Lilac. On my accent finger is plain old black polish (forget which brand but any black will do). I added OPI's Teenage Dream to the tip (my very first OPI glitter) and stamped the design using Konad Special polish in white. More stars were added to the thumb and cheetah print everywhere else. Busy nails can be so much fun!

So what do you guys wear on your nails when you want to feel like a rock star?

All Black Everythang feat Gelish Black Shadow

Happy Friday Loves!

Today I want to show you my sister Chachi's first manicure of 2013. My sisters and I are uber close (oh but we weren't always!) so it was only natural for us to spend New Year's together. We wrapped up the festivities fairly early but not before getting our nails 'did'!

Chachi loves black. She litterally could wear black everyday for months and still not run out of options. What else does Chachi love besides the color black? Skulls. Yup. Give her anything black with skulls on it and she squeals like a school girl. I've always found that amusing, considering that she's a bible-toting-Jesus-freak.

Wine glasses in hand we came up with this simple 'All black everythang' look. What you see below is Gelish in Black Shadow with Vegas Nights on the accent finger. The skull image came from my MASH set and I used Konad special polish in white. The crystals make the whole thing pop.

How do you make your black polish pop?
