Haitian Tag Video + nails feat. China Glaze's Skyscraper

Hey guys!

I recently recorded and uploaded a Haitian tag to my YouTube channel. I am guessing that you guys now know that I am Canadian but born of Haitian parents and even though I’ve emerged myself in Canadian culture (whatever that means, we’re such a mix!) I have been exposed to Haitian culture all my life and it is a part of me I cannot deny. So I did this tag for fun and I also wanted to show you the nail polish I had on in the video.

This was 1 coat of China Glaze’s First Mate topped off with 2 coats of China Glaze’s  Skyscraper. One coat would have sufficed but I like my glitter pretty opaque.

Besos!

Forgive my red cuticles, I was swatching lots of red polish!

Simple but so beautiful

My Nail Polish Obsession Tag!

Hey loves!

Today’s post is another nail polish tag but this one is a video. I’ve been watching these on YouTube and figured I’d record my own just for fun.

Enjoy!

My Purple Fixation

Hey loves!

I haven’t made a video in soooo long. Like  2 or 3 months for sure. I want to start making them again. Especially beauty related vids. If you guys have any special requests you can always leave them in comment section.

I was watching an episode of Basketball Wives LA (I’m still trying to catch up!) and Draya (loves her) was wearing this awesome purple lipstick (I think it was matte too). I’ve been on the hunt for purple lipsticks ever since. Check it out.

Enjoy,

The Julep Maven program

Hey guys!

I want to show you guys what I received in my very first Julep Maven box. For those of you who don’t know, the maven program is a monthly subscription (20$ per month) that gives you access to hand treatments and not-yet-released shades of nail polish. I made you guys a video for this one, hope it was useful! Swatches of the polish I received can be seen under the video.

Enjoy!

Do YOU know about Luxe Box?!?

Hey beauty freaks!

Okay so I’m not all about nail polish, (WHAT?!? *Katt Williams voice*)  I love beauty in general. So today I’m bringing you the unboxing of the Luxe Box for the month of July. Luxe Box is a service offered by Loose button and is basically the Canadian answer to The Birchbox. We’re talking about luxury samples. If you go check out their website you’ll see that they’ve teamed up with some of the heavy hitters of the beauty world. Click on my video for the scoop and then head on over to  http://www.loosebutton.com/ if ever you're interested.

I have a french version too!

Here are some pics of the polish I’m wearing in the video. OPI’s It’s MY Year is an amazing color. As my sister would say : YOU NEED IT IN YOUR LIFE. lol It’s a gorgeous purple with gold shimmer that runs thoughout and the pictures I took just don’t do it any justice. However you are able to see some of it’s true yumminess in my video.

OPI's It's MY year!
You just have to see this one in person

With flash

Enjoy!

Lipstick AND polish?!? Oh my!

Well hello to all my lovelies!

This is gonna be a pretty quick post. Let's start with the nails. I had been meaning to get OPI's Skull & Glossbones ever since the Pirates of the Caribbean collection came out (can you believe I haven't seen the last one yet?!? SHAME!). Because I only have two hands and so many bottles of polish to try, I decided to swatch it for you that way you could at least take a look at it. It's a super light yet "dirty" type of color. *describing colors isn't really my forte*. I then added some cute designs with Konad's special polish in black.

Love the little cartoons

*specially that little hot pepper on the middle finger*

I also have a new vid. The MacBook is still alive which means that iMovie and I are trying to work things out. This was another  request but this time it's about lipstick. I know that it can be difficult as a dark skinned woman to find that perfect shade so this video will give you a few options. Please note that this blog is about beauty in general and is not specifically geared towards black women. This blog is for ALL OF US and the tips presented here can be useful to anyone who wants to learn more about lipstick. You just have to know how to make the information work for you. If you're white or just a lighter shade of brown then look for a lighter colored lipliner.

Hope this helps!
