Hey loves,
I'm still sick and not really feeling well enough to go through the whole nail painting/picture taking process right. With that said I still have some swatches to hold you guys over while I rest up this week. I'm hoping to be feeling better by the weekend so I can work on some nail art for you guys. I've got some fun ideas in mind...
The polish of the day is Nicole By OPI's Basking In Gloria. Felt like I hadn't worn or blogged about red nail polish in a while so this beauty satisfied my craving.

Nicole by OPI Love Song
Hey loves!
Feels like all I've been wearing are shades from the Selena Gomez collection! And to think I used to be a NOPI snob (I just can't get with their bottles sorry).
I've been meaning to put together a striping tape manicure for a while now and I'm glad I finally got around to it because this one looks great! The base is Vincent Van Gold from the Revlon Expressionist art pen collection. I laid down some striping tape in a simple pattern on the index and pinky and added NOPI's Love Song on top.
Vincent Van Gold comes off as blue in my pictures (it just doesn't photograph well) but it's actually a purple duochrome that shifts to blue. Very pretty.

Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights
Hi guys!
I'm starting the week off with a manicure I did for the Sunday challenge over at Aventures In Stamping on Facebook. The theme was Spring colors and since Spring time makes me think of the sun I used Nicole By OPI's Hit The Lights for the base. I've been neglecting my glitters so I added a layer of NOPI's Inner Sparkle (that Selena Gomez collection is getting lots of love!) on the index and ring fingers.
The butterfly and flower that you see are actually nail decals that I made using some stamping plates. I love how this turned out and I can't wait to make more using different color combinations.

My new favorite pink?
Hi guys!
I was trolling the isles at the drugstore and came across the new Nicole by OPI shades for 2013. I had seen swatches for Still Into Pink and I did like it but it was love once I actually put it on! This bright pink has the slightest bit of shimmer running through it. Wouldn't this shade be awesome for a pedicure? Gawd I love this.
I then decided to break out OPI's Lights Of Emerald City and add it on top just because I had been meaning to give this glitter a try. The consistency was not the best... very thick and goopy which made it difficult to get the glitter to go where it need to.

Here comes the bride!
Hi loves!
Today’s post is dedicated to my road dog Bella who is getting married!!! I am so happy for her and her fiancé Karim. Such a cute couple! I was supposed to be at her bridal shower in Toronto this weekend but I had to stay with my kids. I’m pretty bummed about not being able to go so I decided to come up with a wedding inspired manin to cheer myself up.
I used OPI’s Alpine Snow for the ring finger and stamped the letters K and B using Wet N Wild’s Ebony Hates Chris. I used the same Wet N Wild polish on all the other fingers and stamped a delicate design using Konad special polish in White. For the thumb I painted on one coat of Essie’s Sugar Daddy and topped it off with Essie’s Pure Pearlfection. The wedding dress was created using Alpine Snow and I added pearls and a rhinestone to make a necklace.
This would have been perfect for her bridal shower. I’m there in spirit B! I wish you and Karim all the best. Love you lots!

Brown and Blue feat Nicole by OPI's Hart-Kourt Fashionista
Hey everyone!
I’m going hard with this stamping thing! It just makes me feel better about my little nubs. This manicure was done using two colors that I had been wanting to use together for a while. The base for this manicure is 2 coats of SH Insta-Dri in Blue-Away on the index and 2 coats of of Nicole by OPI’s Hart-Kourt Fashionista on all the others.
I added brown dots to the index finger using a small dotting tool and stamped a swirly design on all the other fingers. I just love brown and baby blue together!
What do you think?
Enjoy!

Weekend debauchery + Color Club's Pucci-Licious
Hi guys!
I hope everyone’s weekend went well! Mine was great until I got sick Saturday night and all day Sunday.
Never mind the sucky part, Friday I got my sons a surprise; a new kitty cat! We named him Jackson. It’s tradition in Jon’s family for all the boys to be given names that start with the letter J. Since our new kitty is a boy my sons (Jevaughn & Jamian) figured that Jackson would be very fitting.
Isn’t he adorable? He’s so tiny!
I ended up hosting a girl’s night in that night. My sisters, my good friend Miche and I enjoyed good food (cooked by yours truly), some 18 and over trash talk, lots of booze and nail polish of course!
Miche was due for a good mani so I gave her the full spa treatment complete with exfoliation and a hand massage. She gave me carte blanche for the manicure so I started with 2 coast of Color Club’s Pucci-Licious. I added one coat of Nicole by OPI’s One Less Lonely Glitter to the ring fingers and stamped the word “Love” on them using Konad polish in black. I then stamped kisses on all the other fingers with Konad polish in white and added one coat of OPI’s I Juggle Men just for added shimmer.
Needless to say that clean up was gonna have to wait til the morning!

OPI's Dating a Royal + Kardashian Kolors...
Hi guys!
I know it’s been pretty dead here at LLG this week but I am swamped with work, school, my kids and huge changes in my day to day life. All that to say that my life is mad hectic right now but that your girl is still standing and still painting nails! Today’s manicure is great for those days when you’re just not up for a plain look. I started with 3 coats of OPI’s Dating A Royal (this polish is a jelly so 3 coats are necessary to attain full opacity). Then I went over the ring finger and thumb with Nicole by OPI’s Kendall on the Katwalk (part of the Kardashian Kolors collection). To give this manicure a little bit more pop I added star shaped spangles to my accent fingers.
What do you think?

Oh baby!
Hola!
Today’s manicure is a fun one. A new year also brings new life and this is exactly what this look is about. My cousin is expecting a little boy in May and a girlfriend of mine is expecting a baby girl next month so I thought I’d make a baby shower themed mani. I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Blue Away on the pinky, middle finger and thumb. Next I did 2 coats of OPI’s Pink Friday on the ring finger and index. I freehanded the words Oh baby! on the middle finger (using acrylic paint) and stamped cute little footprints everywhere else. Once everything dried I added a coat of OPI’s I Juggle Men for some shimmer and finished with a coat of Sèche Vite.
Fun, cute and very baby shower appropriate.
Mattified.
Speaking of life, things were extra lively at my house when my niece Jojo came by the other day. My sister-in-law had locked them out of the house by accident so while she dealt with the locksmith; Jojo and I had some girl time! I’m the only chick at my house so I’m always up for girl time. She picked her own colors: OPI’s Swimsuit Nailed It! and Nicole by OPI’s Snow-man of my Dreams. To make the look extra special, she had me add a fimo star on the ring finger. I don’t know any other 7 year olds rocking nails this cool. My dad wouldn’t even let me wear nail polish at that age (boo!).
Cute combo Jojo!
Enjoy,

Casino nails!
Hey Loves!
I was messing around with a new acrylic mold I got and wanted to show you what I came up with. I started with 2 coats of OPI’s Color So Hot It Berns and then added one thin layer of Nicole by OPI’s Love Your Life (a subtle glitter). I then printed some dice all over the nail with Konad special polish in black. I had meant for this to be a poker manicure until Jon’s smart ass insisted on letting me know that there are no dice in poker! Okay. Blank stare. I guess we’ll call it a casino manicure then (rolls eyes). I finished the look by adding a card and a little spade.
There you have it folks!

Pics from the vault
Hey loves!
Just quickly popping in with some nail spam. I found these pics in a folder and thought I’d post them. The base is Julep’s Alfre topped off with OPI’s Navy shatter. Quick, easy and way more interesting than wearing Alfre on its own. I’m still a sucker for shatter. Live with it. lol

Purple rain, purple rain...
Hey there!
Hope everyone is doing well. Just popping in to show you my latest mani. Last night I just couldn’t decide which color I wanted to wear so I asked my Honey which color he'd like to see on me. He picked purple so I broke out into song:
“Purple rain, purple rain… Purple rain, purple rain…”
I know, I know… I just can’t help it. Purple just automatically makes me think of Prince but enough of that on to the polish! I used OPI’s Purple with a Purpose as a base and since the boyfriend put in a request for glitter, I topped it off with Nicole by OPI’s One Less Lonely Glitter.
Boyfriend approuved!
Thanks for reading!
